Britain has largely faced miserable weather in recent weeks, including rain and threats of heavy snowfall.
But we could be over the worst of it and spring might well and truly be on its way, according to new reports.
The arrival of Storm Hannah has been cancelled, but four yellow weather warnings over strong winds, heavy rain and snow are in place across the country for tomorrow.

And yet, temperatures might move above average in the days after that, potentially blessing Britain with sunshine.
Speaking to Metro, the Met Office’s Nicky Maxey said: “Next week, we’ll see a more settled picture after a few blustery days.”
Temperatures, she explained, will “start moving up and increase” to get “back to normal or even above average”.
Speaking further, she told the paper that on Sunday, temperatures will be “rather cold and below average”.

But by Wednesday, temperatures will be back to normal or even above average across the sunnier parts of the country.
It was suggested that the bad weather could be named ‘Hannah’, but Nicky told Metro there were “no plans to name the low pressure” right now as it had not “reached the naming criteria”.

She also confirmed that the wind, rain and snow is due to move further north than originally expected, which will cause it to have less of an impact.
Despite the forecasts of warmer weather, snow warnings remain in place for parts of northern England, Northern Ireland and the south of Scotland.

Between 5mm and 10mm could fall on Saturday, although according to Nicky, any snowfall is “unlikely to last”.
Meanwhile, the Met Office also warned that Wales and the North West of England will be hit by heavy rain.

Parts of those regions could see as much as 80mm, with spray and flooding on roads expected to hamper journeys.
Saturday will be the peak in the miserable weather though, as there are currently no weather warnings in place for Sunday, which is forecast to be blustery but sunny.
