It’s been a tough few months for Coleen Rooney, what with having to deal with Wayne’s drink-driving charge – and the fact that he was in a car with another woman at the time – all while she’s been pregnant with the couple’s fourth child.
So, with Christmas coming and her due date approaching fast, you can understand why she decided to make peace with her husband.
Last week, the 31-year-old issued an emotional statement on Facebook, in which she showed solidarity with the Everton footballer, insisting that she still loves him.
But yesterday, Coleen’s message was apparently trolled – by none other than the woman Wayne was with on that fateful night, Laura Simpson.
Amid newspaper claims that Coleen and Wayne, 32, are planning to renew their marriage vows, Coleen opened her heart about why she’s standing by her hubby.
She told fans: “It’s my decision …. do I love Wayne … yes I do. If I didn’t then I wouldn’t be trying to make it work.
“I know I would be fine on my own, with just me and my children, but I don’t want to live like that, I want to try and continue our marriage and live as a family, because that’s what I want to do.
“I’m not saying everything is fine and forgotten about, but we are as good as can be at this point.

“I’m not the type of person to put a show on and say we’re all loved-up….I’m just real.”
But if Coleen thought that her statement would be met by universal support, she was mistaken. And shortly after, 29-year-old Laura appeared to sum up what she feels about the situation.
Although it could just have been coincidence and she was referring to something else entirely, of course…
It was reported that she originally tweeted: “What a load of attention seeking [expletive],” before deleting the comment.
Another tweet then appeared on her feed: “Very very attention seeking if you asked me.”

Coleen and Wayne have quite a few fans, though, and Laura soon found herself embroiled in a slanging match with a couple of the mum-of-three’s followers.
One scathed: “If desperation had a face, it would be you.”
After Coleen posted her Facebook statement, it was claimed that she hadn’t warned Wayne about it until minutes before it went online.
The Mirror quoted a ‘source’ as saying: “Coleen didn’t tell Wayne about the post until a few minutes before she put it up.
“It’s her way of dealing with everything. Putting their problems out there for all to see is part of Wayne’s punishment.”
The couple – who already have three young sons – are expecting their fourth child in February.
