Peter Andre’s wife Emily MacDonagh responds to trolls of her post-pregnancy body

The mum has definitely whipped back into shape in the last seven months

| Updated:

Peter Andre’s other half Emily MacDonagh has hit back at bodyshamers who have shamed her post-baby body.

The junior doctor has opened up about snapping back into shape since having her little tot Theo seven months ago.

And Emily reveals breastfeeding has helped get her slim physique back.

Speaking in her latest OK! Magazine column Emily, 27, said: “I think people make body-shaming judgements both ways.

“I’m lucky that I’ve snapped back after both of mine, but I haven’t really done anything apart from breastfeeding.

“I know it doesn’t apply to everyone, but for me when I’m breastfeeding, I have to eat a lot to keep weight on, because you burn 600 calories a day from doing it, so I ended up losing quite a bit of weight with the breastfeeding after having Millie and Theo.”

She continued: “People assume I have a personal trainer or say things like: ‘Well you’ve got nannies to look after the kids so you can exercise and diet.’

“That’s not the case at all. You just can’t win!”

Emily has two children with hubby Peter Andre – Amelia, three, and Theo, seven-months.

The mum-of-two recently made a revelation about motherhood admitting it made her feel “isolated and lonely”.

She revealed she would love to make new friends once they move house.

Talking in her magazine column she said: “Once we move house I’m going to make a real effort to make some new mum friends, as that’s what I’m lacking in our current area.

“I’m lucky that Pete is supportive and Mum is just on the other end of the phone, but it can be isolating, especially when Pete’s away working a lot.”

The junior doctor previously spoke about the downsides of her relationship with Pete, 44.

She told OK!: “The downside [of fame] is people being nasty.

“In the past I’ve read people criticising me and Pete, whether it’s the age difference or our appearance.

“I find it hard when people say I’m too young to be with him – my skin is not thick enough and I find it very upsetting.”

Pete also spoke about their age gap.

He said: “As far as we’re concerned, we’re just two people who like the same things.

“Every couple has their good and bad moments, of course, but we have so much common ground and love being together.

“And she is a very mature, smart girl with a good head on her shoulders.

“I don’t know whether it works because I’m very immature and she’s mature!”

We love these two.
