A woman has revealed that her household gets through nine toilet rolls a week, despite there only being three adults in the home.
Fed up with her housemates’ toilet antics, the woman decided to ask for advice online and see whether this was an excessive amount to be getting through in a matter of days.
She took to online forum Netmums to voice her predicament and she shocked many online users with her admission.
The disgruntled lady said she was convinced someone was eating the loo roll because they were diminishing so quickly!
She wrote online: “Three adults in my house, two male, one female. I buy a pack of nine a week and we are using 90 per cent of it… honestly I think someone is eating it! What do you use? Is this excessive?”
Fellow users of the site were soon having their say.
One replied: “There are two adults in my house. A pack of nine would last a month, honestly!
“Someone is definitely eating it lol. Or using it to clean the toilet maybe?”
Another Netmums subscriber said they used nowhere near as much as nine rolls a week, despite having two young children.
“There’s four of us here, two adults and two children, we use two toilet rolls a week, ” they wrote.

Another pointed out it could be down to the quality of the paper and chimed in with: “I think it depends on the brand.”
But others could relate to the woman’s dilemma.
One mum commented: “Oh my, there’s two adults and two children here, we use like six a week. How do families with kids use so little? Mine do use a lot though!”
In fact, one Netmums chatter beat the nine rolls shocker and confessed: “We’re two adults and a teen and we can use 12 or more in a week.”

The toilet talk certainly stirred conversation amongst the families. It divided opinion on what is considered a ‘normal’ amount to use per week and the environmental ramifications.
