A mum in Australia has given birth to what she described as a “mini sumo wrestler”.
Emma Millar and her partner Daniel, from Sydney, were surprised after welcoming a baby girl who weighed a whopping 12.9lbs.
The tot, Remi Frances Millar, was almost double the average weight of a bay born in Australia, which is around 7.2lbs.

She is reported to have arrived at 38 weeks and two days – just under two weeks less than full term.
Speaking to local news outlet Illawarra Mercury, Emma said: “She’s like a mini sumo wrestler. I did expect to have a larger baby as I had gestational diabetes but not this big.
“At 35 weeks an ultrasound revealed she was about 4kg (8.8lbs) but we didn’t think she’d grow that much more.”
Emma’s waters broke early and she had to undergo an emergency cesarean section.
The-mum-of-three admitted she “couldn’t have handled” giving birth to Remi naturally.
While she recovers from the operation, doctors have advised her not to try to lift anything weighing more than Remi.
According to data, just 1.2 per cent of babies in Australia weigh over 9.9lbs at birth.

Emma and Daniel’s other two children also weighed above average when they were born.
Son Ace, four, was 8.4lbs when he arrived, while daughter Willow, two, was 12.1lbs.
Dad Daniel said of the newest arrival: “When I’ve walked around with her there’s always a crowd of people – midwives, other new parents and visitors – around her, asking about her size because she’s so much bigger than all the other newborns.”
