The X Factor: Act brought BACK to replace duo Brooks Way

They'll join Louis' remaining act 5 After Midnight

Girl group Four Of Diamonds are returning to The X Factor after Brooks Way dropped out of the competition.

Twins Josh and Kyle Brooks, 17, were absent from the first live show on Saturday and have now pulled out following accusations that one of the duo sent threatening messages to an ex-girlfriend.

Singer Josh said: “Due to events in my personal life I’ve decided that it’s best not to be on the show at this time.

“While not everything that has been claimed is true I would like to apologise to everyone involved.”

The Sun on Sunday previously reported that Josh had been involved in an altercation with a girlfriend at a New Year’s Eve party.

The singer told the newspaper: “A fight broke out between me and another male at a party. Amelia, along with others, tried to break it up. She was accidentally knocked in the process.

“It was never my intention to hurt her or put her in danger – and this situation is way out of my character.”

Brooks Way will now be replaced by Four Of Diamonds.

The foursome made it through to the judges’ houses, where they impressed the groups’ mentor Louis Walsh with their rendition of Lorde’s Royals.

After their first audition, judge Nicole Scherzinger said they were her favourite girl group in the competition.

Louis said of his decision to bring them back: “I was really impressed with the girls at judges’ houses but only had three spots to fill for the live shows.

“At the time a lot of viewers were disappointed that I didn’t put the girls through, now that a place has opened up in my category, I’ve listened to the fans and am delighted to be bringing the girls back.

“They’re a great girl group and I’m hoping will take me all the way to the final.”

Four Of Diamonds said: “We are so excited to be back on The X Factor – we’re really looking forward to performing live, working hard and showing everyone what we’re made of.”

At the weekend, Louis became the first judge to lose an act.

His novelty duo Bratavio were given their marching orders after failing to impress the judges with their performance of Yazz track The Only Way Is Up in the sing-off.

The X Factor is on Saturday and Sunday at 8pm on ITV.
