It’s the supposed kiss that has had X Factor fans having kittens since last night.
As Matt Terry crooned his single When Christmas Comes Around, former contestants piled out onto the stage to congratulate the handsome winner.
However, viewers’ hearts were warmed when they clapped eyes on former contestant Freddy Parker running up behind Matt and encouragingly wrapping his arms around his waist from behind.
But there was more. Apparently.
Some eagle-eyed viewers were convinced that they saw proud-as-punch Freddy and Matt actually exchange a kiss onstage (albeit hidden amidst the throng of gushing wannabes).
And as you can expect, it wasn’t long before Twitter was awash with ‘Did they just kiss?’ tweets.
One fan said: “Did Freddy and Matt actually kiss on X Factor. I can’t work it oy!”
While another asked: “Did I see [Matt Terry] kiss Freddy Parker?’
The two talented fellas have been mates since they met at boot camp early this year and Freddy has continued to support Matt throughout the process, championing the favourite-to-win in numerous posts via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, encouraging the public to vote for him.
And fans of the pair have been supportive of their friendship online.
The Fredster even teamed up with Matt’s mum to help encourage fans to keep voting for him every week.
And it seems that all the hard work paid off as Matt stormed to victory on Sunday night with 48% of the vote.
Within minutes of Matt’s triumph, Freddy uploaded a super-cute snap of him cuddling up to Matt, along with the caption ‘My brother… you did it’ and a heart emoji.

Fans were hoping that Matt would address the headline-grabbing smooch on Good Morning Britain, but Matt instead spent the time spouting X Factor cliches. You know the ones…. “I thought Saara had done it, I thought she was so talented. When I heard my name I was like, ‘What is happening?'”
When Piers Morgan asked him how he felt about older women finding him attractive and if it was true that he had apparently received hundreds of marriage proposals, the dandy singer blushed with embarrassment as any poor fella would being put in such a awkward situation.
However, Matt was much happier to talk about meeting his idol Sam Smith, who he apparently randomly bumped into on a night out in London Bridge
“I just started speaking to him and he told me ‘be yourself’ and ‘stay who you are’. I am going to keep that on board.
He added that the Oscar winning singer had since tweeted him about his version of The Writing’s On The Wall: “He messaged me to say he was proud of my performance.”
But taking to Instagram, Matt paid tribute to his devoted fans for helping him achieve his dreams of making music.
“I CANNOT DESCRIBE TO ALL OF YOU HOW I FEEL RIGHT NOW,” he wrote.
“I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT YOU GUYS!
“Since I can remember this has been my dream and woaaaahhhh my family, friends and all of you guys have helped me make it a reality.
“Feeling like the luckiest guy right now. Truly cannot believe this is happening. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL”
