The lads supposedly got a lot closer while living in the shared house.
Rumours have also been swirling that the boys were dating during the live finals.
The claims have been denied but it is now believed that not only are the stories true but they are still very much together.
Aw!
An X Factor insider told The Mirror: “When the pair locked eyes on each other they completely fell head over heels.
“They finally got it together at judges houses and it has been an open secret ever since. They are together but don’t want it to come out until they are ready.”
The reason they are said to be keeping quiet is because discussing their relationship too soon may hurt their careers before they’ve even started.
“They don’t want it to wreck their image as they still have commitments, despite the show finishing,” the source added.
“But it’s the real deal for the pair and is getting serious.”
Talking about the speculation, another source said: “It’s a shame that at this day in age, people still worry about how their sexuality will impact their career.

“There are lots of gay singers who have gone on to achieve huge success. There’s no reason why the rules would be different for an X Factor finalist.”
The latest show came to an end on Sunday after Matt Terry was crowned champion.
His winner’s single, When Christmas Comes Around, written by Ed Sheeran, could potentially be this year’s Christmas number one!
Usually, the winner signs up to Simon Cowell’s label Syco, but Matt has now inked a deal with Sony’s RCA according to The Sun.
“Simon and Sony have had a think and believe that Matt is very much an artist in the mould of Olly Murs,” a source said.
“And to that end, they both believe he should be a label mate of Olly’s on RCA. Everyone is thrilled with Matt’s victory and how brilliantly the winner’s single is doing.”
