Saara, 31, said: “I love new challenges and I’m very ambitious. I can be very competitive, but I mainly want to challenge myself.

“I’ll be saying to myself ‘Saara, you need to push yourself more!’ I am so ready for this and I can’t wait to get on the ice.”

She found fame on the 13th series of X Factor in 2016, where she finished runner-up to winner Matt Terry.

Saara is a huge star in her native Finland where she voiced Anna in the Finnish version of Frozen and came second in the first series of The Voice of Finland.

She’s also represented Finland twice in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Saara’s currently on the road with her Wild Wild Wonderland Tour, which is travelling across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

The tour continues until mid-November, meaning she may have to juggle skating practice with her singing duties!

The singer joins previously announced Dancing On Ice contestants including TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, Coronation Street’s Jane Danson, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, Loose Women’s Saira Khan and actor Mark Little.

Pussycat Dolls’ Melody Thornton, EastEnders’ Richard Blackwood, singer Brian McFadden and former Strictly Come Dancing pro James Jordan have also been confirmed.
