X Factor star Katie Waissel was rushed to hospital following a suspected heart attack.
The singer, who rose to fame on the ITV singing competition, was taken to hospital this week following a terrifying health scare.
Katie, 35, who finished seventh place on X Factor in 2010, recalled the incident in a harrowing social media post.
She broke the news to her fans on Instagram and thanked paramedics for saving her life.

Alongside a picture of herself in hospital, she wrote: “Let me tell you. I was taken by ambulance yesterday for a suspected heart attack.
“@nhs @ldn_ambulance Watford general AND the ambulance services were/are amazing.”
She went on to explain that she was initially warned that there could be a delay to her ambulance.

“I was initially told there was a wait by the ambulance call centre, but an ambulance was at my door within minutes.
“The entire team at Watford were/are beyond impeccable, and I am so grateful for your continued help!!

“Imploring people to contact 999 if they need urgent medical care.”
Katie then added: “So with this, if you’re experiencing any medical symptoms, do not hesitate to call 999, they WILL come for you!!!”
Following her shocking social media post, a representative told Metro that she is now on the mend.
They said: “Wednesday morning an ambulance was called to Katie Waissel’s North London home. She had experienced both signs and symptoms of a heart attack.
“Paramedics arrived on scene and took Katie immediately to the hospital. She was placed on a ward for observations and tests as her ECG were showing signs of abnormalities.
“Katie is now home resting up and under the care of the cardiac team.”
Fans rushed to comment, with one replying: “Oh gosh I’m so so sorry to hear, wishing you a speedy recovery!”
“Thank you for shining a light on this Katie. I hope you have a speedy recovery,” added another.
