Simon Cowell has announced the start date for new show The X Factor: The Band.
“No one has a track record of putting together globally-successful bands like The X Factor,” said host Dermot O’Leary.
“And we’re about to do it again,” he added.
“The search is on for the next pop supergroup. Five people’s lives are about to change forever.”
Starting at 8.30pm on ITV on Monday December 9, the new spin-off will see acts audition to form a girl band and a boy band, who’ll then participate in a battle of the bands.
