The honeymoon is well and truly over for The X Factor.
There has been much trumpeting and and air of triumph surrounding this series of the ITV talent show, as Simon Cowell went ‘back to basics’ with his judges and reinstalling Dermot O’Leary as host.
It seems though that bringing back Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh is beginning to backfire after their decisions as to who will join them during the live finals.

There was plenty of consternation after Louis Walsh had decided to pick Ottavio and Bradley, at the expense of other ‘more talented’ groups.
That was nothing though compared to the viewer outrage at Sharon Osbourne’s decision to bring faux rapper Honey G to the live shows.
There was some suspicion as to a ‘fix’ after the novelty act was drafted back in to the X Factor process after Ivy Grace Parades was refused a visa, and the opportunity to travel to Sharon’s house.
Now she is in the final twelve and those watching at home are up in arms, as they call out Sharon for making a mockery of the show.
The show hasn’t even really got going yet but viewers have already had enough.
The opportunity to put the bad press of the previous year behind them, has seemingly been lost with the choices made by the judges.
Has The X Factor had its day, once and for all?
Will these so-called ‘novelty’ acts actually give viewers more entertainment than just a bunch of singers?
