Ayda Field has revealed she nearly became the highest paid actress on TV.
The X Factor judge claims she narrowly missed out on a lead part in US comedy The Big Bang Theory.
Speaking to The Mirror, the 39-year-old said she was in the running to play Penny Hofstadter, a role made famous by Kaley Cuoco.
It is believed Kaley, who has starred in the sitcom since it began in 2007, earns around $1million per episode for appearing in the worldwide hit.

And although Ayda is starring in the current series of The X Factor alongside husband Robbie Williams, the pain of previous professional rejection still lingers.
Also revealing she and Robbie broke up three times before getting hitched in 2010, Ayda admitted to having her confidence as an actress knocked by her aching heart.
Recalling her audition, she said: “I tested against Kaley Cuoco for The Big Bang Theory. Not getting that hurts. And you read articles like, ‘highest-paid actress in television’.”
Ayda continued: “I’ve had jobs taken away. You have to audition the day after. You’ve got to do it, but I can’t be funny.

“Or when I’d broken up with Rob. You’re testing for this comedy, [but think] ‘I can’t do it’.”
Thankfully for Ayda, it seems like she may have hit a bumper pay day for her current gig on ITV.
Reports claim she and her husband may be taking home as much as £10million for appearing on the judging panel.
And another profile by The Mirror from earlier this year also suggests Ayda was on a $1million salary when she was a soap star years before meeting former Take That singer Robbie.
