Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have announced their split after more than two years together.
The couple – who first got together in November 2015 – shared separate statements announcing they had broken up on Tuesday evening.
Former One Direction star Zayn, 25, said he had a “huge amount of respect and adoration” for US model Gigi in a statement on Twitter.

Zayn added the 22-year-old “has such an incredible soul”.
“Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship,” he said.
“I’m grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first,” he wrote, in reference to rumours sweeping the internet about their split before they’d confirmed it.
Gigi shared a separate statement saying she was “forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons” she and Zayn enjoyed.
“Breakup statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience over a few years… not only in the relationship, but in life in general,” she said.
“I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for.
“As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will always be,” she added.
Zayn and Gigi were first linked towards the end of 2015; they made their relationship official when Gigi appeared in Zayn’s music video for his debut solo song PillowTalk.

They went on to pose together in Vogue magazine, share cute photos with fans on social media, and walk red carpets as a couple.

However, Zayn said last year the pair weren’t trying to be a “power couple” or make headlines.
“That’s not something I want to be a part of. I’m with her because I like her and I hope she’s with me because she likes me,” he told the Evening Standard.
Zayn was previously engaged to Little Mix popstar Perrie Edwards.
