Presenter Zoe Ball’s son, Woody, has spoken out about being bisexual and how it surprised his mum.
The 18-year-old revealed that she was confused when he first came out to her because she thought he just liked women.
He has opened up in a tell-all interview to reveal that he has liked boys and girls for the last three years.
Woody told Boys by Girls magazine: “I told my mum and her first reaction was: ‘You can’t be, you like girls?’
“Some people assume it’s an in between before you are gay. But really, it’s a thing on its own.”
The teenager, who goes to college in Brighton, also said that his friends have been very supportive of him but that he did get taunted at school for a while.
He has ended his relationship with his girlfriend but says he hasn’t been out with a guy yet.
Woody also opened up about the difficult times in his life, including a car crash and the death of 48-year-old Zoe’s boyfriend Billy Yates.

Woody said: “I’ve had a few things happening in my life; my parents divorced and the suicide of my mum’s boyfriend. I was happy through all of it, but then at some point last year I felt really down.”
Zoe was left devastated when her partner Billy took his own life in May 2017. The 40-year-old cameraman committed suicide in his London flat.
The Radio 2 Breakfast Show host recently talked about getting through the tragedy.
She said earlier this month: “I felt like the listeners and my audience and my family at work really looked after me through a lot of the stuff that happened.”

She added: “And my radio show on Saturday lifted my spirits so much in the toughest times. Those moments still creep up on you. But you learn to cope.”
Zoe divorced Woody’s dad, Fatboy Slim DJ Norman Cook, in 2016 and they also have nine-year-old daughter Nelly together.
