It sometimes seems you can’t move for news of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s baby schedules.
Whether they’ve just had one, are thinking about having one, or are currently pregnant with one, the news is awash with updates.
And it all clearly became a bit too much for BBC newsreader Simon McCoy today.
When tasked with revealing Prince William and Kate’s due date, for their third child, he quipped: “Now, bearing in mind that they announced that she was pregnant back in September and it was thought that she was around two or three months pregnant, I’m not sure how much news this really is.”

And he sarcastically added: “But anyway, it’s April so clear your diaries, get the time booked off – ’cause that’s what I’m doing.”
Viewers took to Twitter straight away to share their enthusiasm for the newsreader’s comments.
With one saying his words had sparked a belly laugh.
And another even admitting that they harboured a secret crush on the 56-year-old.
It’s not the first time Simon has poked fun at all the palaver surrounding the birth of a Royal baby.
He was on hospital duty in 2013 reporting on the birth of Prince George, from outside the hospital Kate was in.
He said at the time: “Plenty more to come from here… none of it news.”
