Ann Widdecombe has shocked Celebrity Big Brother viewers by admitting she’s “uneasy” with actress Meghan Markle joining the Royal Family.
The former MP was seen chatting about Prince Harry’s fiancée on last night’s episode of the Channel 5 show – and it quickly became apparent she’s not a Meghan fan.
After Rachel Johnson asked the group who liked Meghan, Ann replied: “I think she’s trouble.”

When pressed to explain why, Ann said: “Background, attitude, I worry.”
She added: “I add it all up and I’m uneasy, but there we go.”
Ann’s comments, understandably, were greeted with anger among many viewers, who took to social media to blast the 70-year-old politician.
Among those angered by Ann’s comments was Celebs Go Dating love guru Lady Nadia Essex.
She tweeted: “Of course Ann is sceptical of Meghan and Harry’s love story. Never been in love so cannot relate or empathise.
“Not everyone is as miserly as you Ann True love does exist and Meghan is wonderful. Harry isn’t stupid and wouldn’t choose to marry her if it wasn’t true love (sic).”
Others, meanwhile, accused Ann of using the words “background” and “trouble” in reference to Meghan’s mixed race heritage, although there is no suggestion that’s what the politician meant at all.
While Ann didn’t seem that keen on American actress Meghan, the future royal had plenty of support from other housemates.
Meghan, 36, will wed Harry, 33, at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel on Saturday, May 19.

The former Suits star joined Harry yesterday for their second public engagement as a couple, visiting a radio station in Brixton, London.
Meanwhile, Meghan made headlines overnight when she closed her social media accounts, taking yet another step on the journey to becoming a full-time royal.
Celebrity Big Brother continues nightly at 9pm on Channel 5.
