It’s been widely rumoured that Prince Harry is about to propose to American actress girlfriend Meghan Markle – or that an engagement has already happened but not been made public yet.
And appearing via video link on Good Morning Britain on Monday, Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Grant dropped an interesting comment about her famous sibling…
Samantha told Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh that the world would be stunned if they knew the REAL Meghan.
Not the Meghan we’ve seen in Suits. Not the Meghan we’ve read about in the tabloids.
The Real Meghan.

But before you go thinking Samantha was throwing serious shade at Megs and teasing bombshell secrets to come out, she actually meant it in a good way.
Samantha explained: “She’s lovely. She’s very animated, very charming, very lively, very strong, very worldly, very educated and very graceful.
“I think she will absolutely be a complement to her role and I think the British people and the world will be surprised; there is so much the public doesn’t know.”
When pressed to clarify her remark, Samantha said: “They will be surprised by how graceful and lovely she is.
“I think, together, she and Prince Harry can bring so much to their role in global outreach as a part of the royal family, and in their humanitarian efforts.
“I think the world will be very surprised, whether independently or together, they are both incredible people with vast bodies of life experience.”
Samantha has not spoken to Meghan for a couple of years, but insisted on GMB that she still views the actress as her sister.
“I don’t believe you can be a half-sister. Either you are sisters or you’re not, so in my heart and reality she’s my sister and she’s absolutely lovely.”
Samantha also denied claims she’d branded Meghan “self-obsessed”, insisting: “Of course not, no. Don’t believe what you read if you didn’t see me say it or hear it from a reliable source.”
She did, however, confirm she’s penning a book called The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister. We’re sure Meghan is thrilled…
That being said, Samantha was keen to point out the book is “not some sort of slamming tell-all”, insisting: “It goes through the beautiful nuances of our lives, our family home but, more importantly, it has to do with the racial evolution of this country through the lens of my life and my family since the civil acts right until present.”
Samantha’s chat with GMB came as the persistent engagement rumours surrounding Meghan and Harry hotted up.
Ever since their romance became public last year, there’s been speculation about when (not if!) they’ll announce an engagement.
And the latest rumour has taken the speculation to a whole new level.
According to the Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan enjoyed tea with The Queen at Buckingham Palace earlier this month.
An insider claimed the meeting, instigated by Harry, took place on Thursday and was a low-key, informal event.
Harry and Meghan reportedly arrived at the palace around 5pm and were taken to the Queen’s private sitting room to enjoy tea, sandwiches, scones and cakes.
The meeting apparently lasted an hour – long enough for Meghan and The Queen to have a proper chat…
Of course, there’s no word from Kensington Palace on whether this is accurate.
A spokesperson would only say: “We have refrained from commenting on all previous stories about Prince Harry introducing Meghan Markle to members of the Royal Family and therefore we have no comment.”

And we wouldn’t expect them to say anything, given Harry’s rare statement last year imploring everyone to respect his and Meghan’s privacy.
None the less, reports that Meghan has now met The Queen will only add fuel to the fire where a royal wedding is concerned.
