The Duke of Sussex has put wife Meghan in a “difficult position” over a decision about their son Archie’s christening, a royal expert has claimed.
At the weekend, it was reported that Meghan and Harry want to ensure the newborn will be a “private citizen” – and his baptism will apparently not be treated as a media event.
Now, a royal expert reckons Harry has put Meghan in a bad situation with the public as he is the one who wants a private christening.

Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty magazine, told the Daily Mail: “I think this is quite Harry-led and it is putting Meghan in a very difficult position.
“She’s the one getting all the flak as a newcomer to the Royal Family. I assume Harry and Meghan don’t know where they are going wrong and think the criticism is all so very unfair.”
It’s believed that Archie Harrison will be christened this Saturday (July 6).
According to PEOPLE magazine, Archie will be baptised in the Queen’s private chapel at Windsor Castle.
It’s said the gathering will be attended by around 25 family members and friends, with photos to be released the next day.
A source told the publication: “This is a beautiful milestone and they are excited to share it as a family first and then with the world.”
The couple’s decision has divided royal fans, with many claiming they should share the moment with the world.
Royal journalist Penny Juror – whose biography of Harry was published in 2014 – is quoted as telling The Sunday Times that the couple’s decision ‘not to play the game’ is an error.
She said: “They can’t have it both ways. Either they are totally private, pay for their own house and disappear out of view or play the game the way it is played.
“Seeing Archie and his godparents arriving at the christening is what people are interested in. It isn’t baring your baby’s soul, just giving the public who love and support them a crumb to enjoy.”

Royal christenings aren’t usually broadcast but the press are usually invited to take photos of the family and guests as they arrive and leave.
The Queen is not expected to attend Archie’s christening as she reportedly has prior commitments.
However, Prince Charles and Camilla and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to attend the service.
