Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have reportedly bonded over motherhood, despite speculation of a rift between the two Duchesses.
Dismissing claims of a falling out, royal expert Carolyn Durand has insisted the two women became closer during Meghan’s pregnancy with baby Archie.
The writer also claimed the pair are in regular contact with one another – and Kate supported Meghan as Prince Harry’s wife joined the royals.
Ms Durand told Hello! magazine: “Kate was a great source of support to Meghan in the days leading up to Archie’s birth and, despite reports of a rift, they are family and have a really lovely friendship.

“Their relationship has constantly evolved over time and they have become closer since Meghan’s wedding.”
She continued: “They talk and text regularly, they have more in common and Kate has wanted to make sure Meghan has felt welcomed to the family.”
Royal fans were ecstatic to see Kate and the Meghan sitting together for the Wimbledon women’s final earlier this month.
It was reported in the weeks running up to the tennis event that Centre Court could be the stage for a public ending of a ‘feud’ thought to have been connected to Harry and Meghan cutting ties with the Royal Foundation they set up with Kate and William.

The Sun previously claimed Meghan made Kate cry during a bridesmaid fitting for Princess Charlotte ahead of the Sussex wedding.
And earlier today the tabloid claimed Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis didn’t meet their baby cousin for two months after he was born.
The report suggested the young royals only met Archie two weeks ago at a charity polo match which saw Prince William go head-to-head with his brother.
“Kate and William had been to see Archie at Frogmore Cottage but they hadn’t taken their children with them, so that was the moment at the polo match where all three of the Cambridge kids got to meet Archie,” the newspaper claimed.
