Prince George joined the royal family for the annual Christmas Day walkabout yesterday, and one moment saw him step in to help Princess Charlotte.
The Prince and Princess of Wales attended a church service with their three children – George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
As the family stepped out, royal fans were quick to notice the same thing – their outfits were all matching.
Meanwhile, it was George who caught the attention of fans with a sweet gesture he made to Charlotte as they met with fans who had gathered.

The moment was shared on X by a royal fan. It showed George, Charlotte and Louis greeting fans who had gathered. Prince William and Kate were also seen talking to the crowd.
In one moment, a man reached out to shake hands with each of the children. However, little Charlotte had her hands full with gifts so was unable to shake his hand.

She was seen reaching out to get dad William’s attention to help her, but he was busy talking to another part of the crowd.
That’s when brother Prince George stepped in and subtly helped his sister.

As Charlotte reached out to William with a gift in her hand, George moved behind her and took the present out of her hand so she was then able to shake hands with the man.
One fan shared the moment online with a video and wrote: “What a nice move there #PrinceGeorge.
“He saw the man waiting to shake hand with Princess Charlotte but she have things in her hand she’s nudging her dad but he’s busy so BIG BROTHER to the rescue!”
Other fans gushed over George’s sweet gesture as one person said: “Aw George watching out for his little sister is so sweet.”
Another wrote: “Those children have all be brought up to respect each other and no doubt others too… they’re a credit to Catherine and William.”

A third added: “Love how discreetly George did that. Minimum of fuss.”
Elsewhere, fans noticed that George and Louis’ ties were matching mum Kate’s green tartan scarf.
George was the spitting image of his dad, Prince William, in a black wool coat with a white shirt, black trousers and a tie.
His younger brother Prince Louis wore the same. Charlotte, meanwhile, looked adorable in a navy blue tartan coat.
One person gushed: “Prince George’s tie matched his sister’s coat and his mama’s scarf.”
Another said: “Look at Prince George’s tie, it matches Catherine’s scarf.”
Someone else added: “Love Prince George’s tie matches Princess Catherine’s scarf. Princess Charlotte’s coat the same colours as Princess Catherine’s scarf.
“So considerate. I tried to see Prince Louis’ tie eye sight not good enough, I thought it matched the scarf too.”
