Princess Kate reportedly shares a ‘close’ bond with King Charles who ‘appreciates’ her role, a royal expert once claimed.
King Charles III is believed to consider himself “very lucky” to have her as part of the monarchy. Royal expert Katie Nicholls revealed that the pair have grown close in recent years. She claimed that Charles “appreciates” what Kate adds to the family.
“She has a close relationship with her father-in-law,” Katie told OK Magazine earlier this year. “There is a huge amount of warmth between them and mutual respect and I know that Charles feels very lucky to have Kate as part of the family.”

Katie added: “He absolutely recognises and appreciates what she brings. She is a huge asset and no one sees that more than the King. It’s a period when there’s been a lot of flux and transition for the royal family and I think promoting that image of continuity and stability is going to be the focus for this year.”
Following the death of the Queen in September 2022, Kate became the Princess of Wales. Her husband William inherited the title of the Prince of Wales.
The couple supported the King at his coronation in May. According to reports at the time, the King made a gesture to Kate.
He invited Kate’s family to the historic event. A source said at the time: “They are the family of our future queen, so it’s right that they should be there.”
More recently, reports claimed that Kate has a ‘new way’ of raising her children – Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.
He absolutely recognises and appreciates what she brings.
Royal commentator Daniela Elser claimed Kate wants to pass down her relatively normal upbringing. Elser claimed on news.com.au: “Her starting point – husband Prince William, who has already done more parenting than centuries of forbidding, emotionally stunted heirs before him ever have combined.
Kate’s parenting technique?
“That strategy of mucking in extends to their home life, where the trio of young HRHs are busy learning about the power of the pre-rinse and how to add their own milk to their Frosties.”
Meanwhile, royal biographer Tom Quinn claimed that Kate has ‘slightly modified’ tradition. He told the Daily Beast: “She insisted that William was involved in bedtime, reading to the kids and bathing them. And they split the school run. She doesn’t like the press attention on the children but having not suffered it herself as a child she has a less emotional attitude.”
In addition, he alleged: “She believes she can control it in such a way that they will not be damaged by it. And to be fair, it has worked — the paparazzi don’t hang around the school gates any more. They are allowed some freedom.”
