The Queen has COVID, Buckingham Palace has confirmed today (February 20).
Buckingham Palace released a statement late this morning confirming the news.
It comes after Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall tested positive for the virus.
The Queen has COVID: Palace issues health update
Buckingham Palace today issued a health update on the 95-year-old monarch.
A statement said Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms.
It also said that she expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.

She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all appropriate guidelines.
The statement said: “Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has today tested positive for COVID.
“Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.
“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”
How did royalists react?
Fans of the monarch expressed their fears on Twitter after the news broke.
“The Queen having COVID breaks my heart a little,” said one.
“Let’s hope she gets well soon,” said another.
Another said: “We are devastated by the news that Her Majesty the Queen has tested positive for COVID.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Queen to make a full recovery. We love you & will be hoping for the best possible outcome for your healing.”
Charles and Camilla’s COVID battle
The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall have also had COVID recently.
Charles was the first to test positive – just two days after he had seen his elderly mother.

Wife Camilla tested positive on Valentine’s Day.
Speaking about Camilla, a Clarence House spokesman said on Monday: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating.
“We continue to follow government guidelines.”
