When asked about the reports of a rift between himself and William, Harry said: “Part of this role and this job and this family being under the pressure that it’s under , inevitably stuff happens.

“But we are brothers. We will always be brothers.

We are certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him.

“We are certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him as I know he will always be there for me.

“We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we are so busy but I love him dearly.

“The majority of the stuff is created out of nothing but as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days.”

Royal fans were quick to share their thoughts, with many taking sides.

One person said: “This is awful coming from Harry,” while another wrote: “Poor William, he and Harry used to be so close, it’s a shame he’s being ghosted by his OWN BROTHER.”

A third tweeted: “Harry’s face and his eyes just [heartbreaking]. The queen stood by Margaret through good and bad and she had a lot of bad.. I’m not getting that from William and it’s so sad.”

Others defended Harry and William.

One said: “There both married men with children there obviously no going to spend day in and day out together don’t see why this is big news they’re just like anybody else with siblings, fight, arguments but deep down there always there for each other.”

Another wrote: “All siblings argue! It’s a natural part of growing up and getting on with their own lives. Why make out there’s a huge rift in the family?!”

Another added: “Harry and William ignore all the Jealous haters. You guys both have amazing partners and beautiful families. Love you.”

Meanwhile, during the documentary, Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, spoke about the struggles in the spotlight.

Meghan said: “You know, I’ve said for a long time to H — that’s what I call him — it’s not enough just to surf by something. That’s not the point of life.

“You’ve got to thrive, you’ve got to feel happy. And I think I really tried to adopt the British sensibility of a stiff upper lip. I’ve tried but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging.

“I never thought this would be easy. But I thought it would be fair and that’s the part that’s really hard to reconcile. But I do just take each day as it comes.”
