The most fun part of any wedding reception has to be the best-man speeches – that time when a cheeky chappy or two mercilessly rib the groom over past incidents he’d rather keep in the closet.
And according to a report, Prince Harry’s best men didn’t disappoint as they stepped up to congratulate the royal groom following his marriage to Meghan Markle last weekend.
A write-up in The Sunday Times claims that Prince William told a ‘bawdy joke’ about his brother, while a close friend of Harry’s brought up an incident involving teddy bears…
Following the wedding ceremony at St George’s Chapel – part of Windsor Castle – Harry, Meghan and their guests enjoyed afternoon lunch at the nearby St George’s Hall.
But The Sunday Times’ report claims that it was at the subsequent after-party – a black-tie event at Frogmore House – that the best-man speeches were heard.
During an evening in which guests reportedly enjoyed ‘divine’ wine and ‘lethal’ cocktails, Prince William is claimed to have cracked a gag that involved ‘wet knickers’.
And Harry’s roasting apparently didn’t end there. The report adds that his mate Charlie van Straubenzee proceeded to poke fun at the prince’s hair colour.

Charlie also reportedly recalled the time when he shared a dormitory at school with Harry, and the future Duke of Sussex stole his fluffy toy.
According to The Sunday Times, Charlie joked: “Harry nicked my teddy bear and chucked it out onto the roof.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I ask you, how can you put someone in charge of a dorm when that someone is worse behaved than the whole dorm combined?”
There was apparently also a jibe about Harry falling off ponies when he lines up for a game of polo.
Charlie is said to have quipped: “He’s always so hungover when he plays.”
Completing the comic fun was, according to the report, ‘a barnstorming performance by James Corden dressed as Henry VIII’.
The TV funnyman is said to have told guests: “Your royal highnesses, ladies and gentlemen, I had no idea what to wear to a royal wedding, so I looked it up in the royal etiquette manual and found this outfit.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s former make-up artist has suggested that the new Duchess of Sussex has some quite humble tastes.
Lydia Sellers, who worked with the actress on US drama Suits, told Hello! magazine that Meghan is “in the know” about beauty products, and recommended a mascara to Lydia that cost less than £6.
Explaining that it “really helps to amplify your lashes and polishes off the whole look”, Lydia claimed that she now keeps a bottle handy at all times, thanks to Meghan.
