The Queen apparently had a ‘secret plan’ for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Prior to Megxit, The Queen allegedly considered sending Harry and Meghan to Africa for a year.
The plan was reportedly to give them senior royal roles in the British Commonwealth of Nations.
And to allow Harry to serve in the continent that he has long referred to as his ‘second home’.
In royal expert Robert Lacey’s book, Battle of Brothers, he makes the stunning claims.
Why would The Queen send Harry and Meghan to Africa?
Here he says that the royal family saw a fantastic opportunity in Meghan and Harry.
And their ‘rock star’ global appeal.

Robert writes: “But it was also an immense opportunity, since the interracial union of these two popular headliners, Harry and Meghan, ‘the royal rock stars’, represented a unique chance to knit the monarchy closer to the people — people of all races and classes.”
He also explained that the proposed one-year stay in Africa was to honour the couple’s privacy that they appeared to crave.
He continued: “The big idea was to get Harry and Meghan out of the country for a decent spell.”
What did Harry and Meghan say in South Africa?
Before adding: “The Queen wanted to offer both honour and responsibility to the couple by handing them some role in her beloved British Commonwealth of Nations — a highly personal token of trust.”
It is unknown how these plans broke down or how Meghan and Harry reacted to them.

However, the couple’s official royal visit to South Africa in October 2019 didn’t exactly go to plan.
Here, they revealed that they were launching several legal actions against British newspapers.
And in the stunning ITV documentary, Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, they complained about how they were treated.
While speaking to host Tom Bradby, Meghan said that the negative press attention was tough.
She said she felt it was unfair, and that no one had asked how she was.
What’s more, Prince Harry appeared to confirm rumours that he and big brother Prince William had fallen out.
He told Tom: “But look, we’re brothers, we’ll always be brothers — and we’re certainly on different paths at the moment.
“But I’ll certainly always be there for him as I know he’ll always be there for me.
“We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy.
“But I love him dearly and the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing. But as brothers, you have good days, you have bad days.”
