Adam Thomas has been begging for a return to Emmerdale.
The actor now works most of the time as an estate agent after quitting the soap to pursue other acting roles.
But now he has admitted he is desperate to return to the soap that made him a household name.
“I can’t wait to get back to Emmerdale, to be honest,” he told The Sunday Mirror.
He played farmer Adam Barton until 2017 when he quit.

On-screen Adam went on the run after taking the wrap for killing Emma Barton, when in fact it was his mother Moira who did the deed.
He has been mentioned occasionally since fleeing the police and was most recently in Australia.
Actor Adam recently landed a part in a brand new BBC drama called Pitching In.
Adam has also starred in pantomimes since leaving, including one that hit the headlines when it shut early over non-payment to its talent.
He added: “I left Emmerdale to try new things and play new roles and I’ve sort of done that.”
The actor also confirmed the door “had been left open” for his return, and he regularly tweets with his former co-stars confirming they are still close.

“With Emmerdale they’ve left the door open for me,” he confirmed.
“I’ve been speaking to a few of the cast and there’s been talks about me coming back but I’ve not heard anything just yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see.”
A big comeback has been revealed for March, so could Adam be the one returning to the village?
