Angela Griffin has teased her return to Coronation Street.
The actress played hairdresser Fiona Middleton until 1998 when she left the cobbles under a bit of a cloud, leaving her hairdressing business and friends behind.

And now she has hinted a return is on the cards for the fan favourite character.
Her former co-star Denise Welch posted a throwback image on Twitter showing some of the old Corrie cast from back in the day.
Denise tweeted: “#sentimentalsunday The women of @itvcorrie 21 years ago! @Angela_Griffin @MsGfaye @Beverleycallard @TinaHobley #tracyshaw #debbiemcandrew”

And fans became very excited when Angela gave them hope for a comeback with her own reply.
She replied: “Oh wow!! Quite like to recreate this ….”
Rumours of Angela’s potential return have been swirling for quite some time with the actress herself admitting she would like to revisit her character.
And viewers went into overdrive earlier this year when a young woman appeared working in The Salon who shared more than a passing resemblance to Fiona.
They were convinced that hairdresser Emma was Fiona’s secret daughter, claiming she was pregnant again when she left the cobbles in the 90s.
However Alexandra Mardell, who plays Emma, said the crimper definitely wasn’t Fiona and Steve McDonald’s daughter, though she did reveal she had spoken to Angela about the possibility.

The actress told The Sun: “I’ve heard the Fiona and Steve’s daughter theory, but that’s definitely not true.”
But that doesn’t mean she’s not Fiona’s daughter with someone else. Perhaps even the disgraced McDonald – Jim, which would be a handy way to get him back to the cobbles too after his recent scamming horror.
