Actor Harry Reid has reunited with his EastEnders fam for the first time since leaving the soap – and fans could be forgiven for having a flutter of hope that he’ll return to Walford one day soon.
This week, Harry – who played Phil’s son Ben Mitchell – enjoyed an off-screen reunion with his TV family Jamie Borthwick (Jay) and Tilly Keeper (Louise).

It’s the first time the “Mitchell trio” have been seen together since actor Harry left the show earlier this year.
He is currently treading the boards of London’s County Hall for his part in Witness For The Prosecution.
As Jamie and Tilly went to the theatre to support their former castmate, Harry snapped a selfie with his pals and shared it with his 93,900 Instagram followers.

Alongside the snap, he wrote: “Mitchell family came to see my show @witnessplayldn. Then tried kidnapping me. Good to see you both. #mitchells #eastenders.”
Fans were chuffed to bits to see the threesome together again, with one responding: “I miss it when you three are together, you make like a team working together on EastEnders.”
Another added: “We’ve been waiting for this picture for so long you don’t even understand.”
A third wrote: “Time for ‘Ben’ to return ‘home’!”
“You should have let them kidnap you and bring you back home to Albert Square,” said someone else.
A further comment simply read: “please come back to Eastenders.” While another started the hashtag #BringBackBenMitchellToEastEnders.
In fact, rumours have been rife that Ben WILL be returning to the BBC soap soon.
Some fans believe Ben will be returning with Phil, when he comes back from Spain later this year.
We know Harry’s theatre production is due to end in mid-November, and he’s then appearing as Buttons in a production of Cinderella at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, Kent.
Things were left open for his character to return, after he ran away to France to hide after an ill-fated attempt to steal money from Aidan Maguire.
Last month, Jamie spoke of Harry’s possible return, saying to Digital Spy: “Of course I would like to see Ben back. Harry has been very busy doing his play, which is fantastic. […]
“Then who knows? Watch this space. Ben left in a way that was kind of unexplained. I suppose he’s got to come back at some point, whether it’s now or whether it’s in two years or three years. But of course I’d love to have him back.”
