Brooke Vincent returns to visit Coronation Street for first time since giving birth

Brooke Vincent has returned to Coronation Street for the first time since giving birth to new son, Mexx.

The proud new mum paid a visit to her workplace while on maternity leave and she cried when she received a round of applause.

Brooke retweeted a message from Peter Ecclestone, boyfriend of Antony Cotton (Sean Tully), who also works at ITV, explaining she had come into the studios at MediaCity.

Peter wrote: “Brooke Vincent came into Corrie for the first time since having Mexx today.

“She walked into the canteen everyone gave her a round of applause and she burst into tears.”

Brooke commented on her retweet: “Can you actually deal…” with a series of crying emojis and a yellow heart.

The actress, who plays Sophie Webster in the ITV soap, welcomed her first child with boyfriend Kean Bryan on October 23.

On-screen Sophie departed the cobbles in early October to go travelling the world.

Off it, Brooke announced the news of her new arrival on her Instagram page, sharing a snap of her baby boy lying on her chest.

Confirming his safe arrival, she said: “On Wednesday 23rd October at 8.14am Our Baby Boy Arrived. Mexx S J Bryan, you complete us.”

Moments later, she shared three more pictures of the tot including one of Kean snuggling their son.

Another snap sees a close-up of the little boy while a third shows the newborn’s tiny leg with a hospital band around his ankle.

Brooke captioned the post: “My Two,” followed by a world emoji.

Last week, Brooke revealed she’d been struggling with her post-baby body and had thought she would snap back into shape after giving birth.

Tonight I was supposed to look completely different, I was supposed to be dressed up, hair and make up done ready to eat some nice food and maybe have my first cocktail in 11 months with Kean, our first time away from Mexx for an hour or two, instead I look like this. I look like this because I naively thought that 4 weeks after my baby I would be in all my old clothes looking exactly like I did before I got pregnant. I thought my jeans would instantly fit and I would just be my “old self” only with my new beautiful baby. How wrong I was, I tried 23 outfits on at least, nothing looked right, nothing looked like me and I felt like I was looking at a completely different person, I suppose to a certain extent I now am, I am Mexx’s mum. I sat and cried and felt ashamed that I haven’t just been able to pick up where I left off like people seem to do here on Instagram! The reason for this post is that even when you’re in this bizarre industry you still get sucked in, you still feel a certain way when you see others posts. So this was so important for me to say, for all the women who think they should look, act or feel a certain way after a baby DONT! Don’t beat yourself up. Do you & if 4/6/8weeks or even a year after giving birth you don’t fit in your old clothes don’t worry, you can always join my club 💛 it’s important to be honest because being a new mummy is daunting enough! The most important thing is me & Mexx are healthy & happy and as soon as my baby boy looked at me, I realised he doesn’t care if i fit in my old jeans or not .. So I guess creased watermelon PJs & slippers for now it is💛 #bekindtoyourself #newmumclub 💕

She shared an image to her Instagram page in her pyjamas explaining she had been scheduled to go out for the night with Kean, but was left sobbing after none of her clothes fit.

The star explained she had realised that it didn’t matter and that her baby boy didn’t care what she looked like.
