Ever since she arrived in Weatherfield last year as the ditzy salon apprentice, some fans have been convinced that Emma is Steve and Fiona Middleton’s daughter.

Lorraine said: “There’s lots and lots of layers to this girl, that’s what I love about Corrie, we’ll find out more about her. There’s a lot more to her.
“Some people have said, and I’m not sure about this, but some people have said that she’s Steve and Fiona’s love child.”
But Alexandra swerved the question and remained tight-lipped about the answer, simply replying: “I’ve heard that one.”
But never one to be deterred, Lorraine continued to draw likenesses between Fiona and Emma…
She said: “She is so pretty, and so are you. It kind of makes a bit of sense, you don’t look dissimilar!”
As Lorraine suggested “let’s put it in a wee box for now”, Alexandra replied: “Yes I think we should.”
Fiona was played by Angela Griffin between 1992 and 1998, and had a tempestuous on/off relationship with Steve.
And if fan theories are correct, if she’d left when she was in the early stages of pregnancy with Steve’s baby, the baby would be exactly Emma’s age now, as she was born in 1999.
Oh, and Fiona was a hairdresser, too… Just saying!
