Coronation Street fans have come up with a new theory that suggests Geoff Metcalfe will be killed off in a whodunit storyline for the soap’s 60th anniversary.
Currently Geoff is trying to manipulate everyone into believing he was abused by his wife Yasmeen. However viewers, Alya and his own daughter-in-law Sally know that Geoff was the abuser.
At the moment, Yasmeen is in hospital under police custody after stabbing Geoff in the neck. Meanwhile Alya and Sally are trying to figure out why Geoff’s ex-wife Elaine mysteriously disappeared after agreeing to testify against him in court.
However fans think that Geoff will meet his end for the show’s anniversary in a whodunit storyline.
What did Coronation Street fans say about Geoff?
On a Digital Spy forum, one fan wrote: “Who killed Geoff Metcalfe storyline for the anniversary episode.”

A third said: “Do Geoff murder at Halloween and reveal it during the 60th live episode (if they were planning on doing one). If they are worried about the second wave they could pre-record the live episode just in case.”
Well there certainly are a few people on the cobbles who would like to see Geoff disappear. But would anyone actually kill him?
Coronation Street’s 60th anniversary
While Corrie is staying tight-lipped on the 60th anniversary storyline, it has been revealed that a sinkhole will appear in David Platt’s garden.
According to reports, it won’t be confined to the Platts’ house either.
Earlier this month, a source told The Sun Online: “It’s going to cause huge issues for the already hard-up residents on the cobbles.
