Fans of Coronation Street have called out the ‘incompetence’ of the Weatherfield Police force.
In last night’s episode of Corrie (September 4 2019) Sean paid a visit to Jan in hospital.
However, viewers quickly pointed out that Sean was able to walk straight into the hospital room after chatting for just a second with the armed guard.
So the @Weatherfield999 just let Sean walk into Jan's hospital room…? #Corrie

“Hello armed guard. I’m the former lodger of the girlfriend of the patient you’re meant to be protecting. I know you don’t know me from Adam but can you let me past please?”
“Oh alright then…” #Corrie— Russell Truran (@russelltruran) September 4, 2019

Sean got into Jan’s room very easily considering there were two armed guards outside his room #Corrie

Viewers know that Jan is currently under protection as he was a police informant in the trafficking gang.
When Jan came to the country, he had met up with Nikolai, who was his best friend’s son.
However, he soon tried to get Jan involved with people trafficking and Jan knew it wasn’t right.

He came to Weatherfield as a builder in order to earn money and ended up moving in with Eileen and her other roommate Seb.
Soon after Jan’s arrival Seb began seeing a girl named Alina who worked at a nail bar he did a few odd jobs for.
But it soon became clear something was going on when she constantly worried about upsetting her boss Rachel.

Viewers discovered that she had been trafficked along with a load of others who worked for Rachel and her husband, Nikolai.
Seb discovered the truth and was shocked to find out Jan was part of the gang.
When the gang was busted by the police, viewers learnt that Jan was an informant.

Last week, Jan returned and told Eileen the truth and asked her to move away with him.
But as she decided she couldn’t leave, he was shot by Rachel.
After he was shot, he was taken to the hospital and was being guarded for his own protection.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
