Coronation Street fans cheered on Alya Nazir as she threatened Geoff Metcalfe with a broken bottle in last night’s episode (Wednesday, September 2).
Earlier this year, Geoff threatened to kill his wife Yasmeen. Acting in self defence, she smashed a wine bottle over his head and stabbed him in the neck.
While Geoff has been playing the victim, viewers and Yasmeen’s granddaughter Alya know that he was abusing Yasmeen.

In last night’s visit to Weatherfield, Alya refused once again to sell her share in Speed Daal to Geoff.
Coronation Street: Geoff sabotages Alya
Getting his revenge, he cancelled staff shifts, meaning Alya was left to deal with the takeaways alone.
But she ended up losing her temper and smashed up the restaurant before yelling at customers to get out.
As Asha left the restaurant, she told Geoff and Tim about the incident with Alya.
As they went into Speed Daal, Alya picked up a broken wine bottle off the floor. When Tim asked what happened, she said: “I’ve had enough of this place and especially of him.”
She then pointed the broken bottle at Geoff. He responded saying: “Flippin’ heck. Talk about the apple not falling far from the tree.”

When Alya asked what he said, Geoff played it off. But Alya was in no mood to play games yelling: “I said, what did you say?” pointing the glass bottle at Geoff once again.
However, viewers were thrilled to see Alya stand up for herself and cheered her on.

Coronation: Tim finally sees Geoff for the monster he is
Next week, Sally manages to get her hands on Geoff’s laptop after Cathy suggests his CCTV footage could be on there.
She tells Tim why she took the laptop. With Faye’s help they try to download the deleted camera app and the footage.
Soon the police arrive at No.4 and tell Geoff new evidence has come to light and they need to ask him more questions.
Did they managed to get hold of evidence of Geoff’s abuse?
Later a heartbroken Tim is worried for Elaine’s safety and tries to track her down. When he returns from Bolton he tells Sally, Alya and Imran judging by the pile of post on her mat she hasn’t been home in a while.
