Coronation Street fans thought they were watching a crossover with Bodyguard last night.
Viewers were thrilled when the BBC One drama’s Detective Chief Inspector Deepak Sharma turned up in Michelle Connor’s flat to investigate Cormac’s death.
However actor Ash Tandon had been given a huge demotion, becoming PC Daullah just days after the Bodyguard came to an end.
One asked: “Did I just see Bodyguard Deepak in #corrie?”
A second posed the question: “Has that copper done something bad n bin demoted he was a much higher rank in #bodyguard #Corrie”

“Gone from Detective Chief Inspector to Uniform PC in 5 days…. I can think of a few people who deserve that demotion!! #WhatDidYouDoWrong? #Bodyguard #CoronationStreet @BBC @ITV”
However it cane be revealed that the actor has actually starred in more episodes of Corrie than Bodyguard.
The actor has played PC Daullah 13 times on the soap since 2016 so far.
