Coronation Street’s Leanne Battersby could be pregnant with Steve McDonald’s baby again, actress Jane Danson has hinted.
The legal secretary romped with Steve weeks before his wedding to Tracy Barlow after he thought he had been given a free pass.
And considering the last time they slept together they ended up with baby Ollie, fans are convinced Leanne is expecting another of Steve’s offspring.
Actress Jane is well behind the theory too, saying at a recent press day: “I quite like that theory. I think she should be. I think that’d be hilarious!
“I think that would be quite funny, because Steve is notorious for his one-night stands and getting people pregnant, isn’t he?”

Jane also said stupidity is what keeps bringing Leanne and Steve back together.
She added: “I think they’re both essentially quite similar. They’re both pretty stupid and they make bad decisions.
“They’ve known each other all their lives and they both clearly like a drink. It all just goes a bit wrong when they’ve been drinking together.”
She added: “There’s no love there but I think they care about each other.
“Just doing scenes with Simon Gregson, I couldn’t keep a straight face half the time. He’s just lovely to work with.
“I think that now they’ve opened that door, there’s another path to go down. Should they find themselves in this situation again, they might end up having another night together. Who knows?”
But one thing stopping them getting back together is Nick Tilsley’s shock return.
Jane added: “I’d known about Nick’s return for quite a while, but I didn’t know how he was going to come back. I kind of assumed it would be involved with Leanne, because the last time we saw Nick, he left her literally holding the baby.
“I thought they couldn’t not revisit that, because it was unfinished business.

“In the summer time, I was told how he’d be coming back. It’s just great, because we’ve already got the foundations there. No matter how long Ben Price has been gone, you’ve always got that.
“We had a scene the other day and it was Peter, Carla, Leanne and Nick. I said: ‘It’s like getting the band back together’.
“They’ve all got that history. Every which way, there’s history there. So it provides great foundations to tell more stories.”
