ITV soap Coronation Street has paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester bombing, two years after the tragedy.
The show has joined the whole of Manchester in marking the tragic anniversary of the Manchester Arena attack.

Twenty-two people were killed and hundreds injured in the 2017 suicide bombing.
One of the victims was Corrie superfan Martyn Hett, who even had a tattoo of Deirdre Barlow on his leg.
On Wednesday (May 22), the soap’s official Instagram account posted a picture of the Street’s on-set memorial bench.
Alongside they wrote the message: “Remembering two years ago today and all those affected. ❤️🐝 #WeStandTogether #ManchesterRemembers #OneLoveManchester.”

Unsurprisingly, some of the 629,000 followers responded with messages of support, with one saying: “Thinking of all those affected in this horrific attack.”
Another said: “Can’t believe it’s been two years already, still so fresh.”
A third said: “Sending love to all the families.”
Suicide bomber Salman Abedi, 22, detonated a home-made device at the end of an Ariana Grande concert at the arena as children and adults began leaving the venue.
The exact moment of the blast – 10.31pm – will once again see bells peal across the city centre.
Last year, Corrie unveiled an on-set bench dedicated to Martyn and the other victims of the Manchester Arena bomb attack.
The bench’s colourful design includes flowers and Manchester’s bee emblem.
The inscription on the bench’s plaque, found in the urban garden, says: “For Martyn and all those who lost their lives on the 22nd May 2017. We stand together.”
At the time, a Corrie statement said: “We wanted to create a colourful and beautiful tribute for those who so sadly lost their lives last year.
“The bench was created by one of our joiners and then Dan Taylor, one of our scenic artists, designed the mural. Artist Ruth Wilkinson was commissioned to bring the design to life in a mosaic.”
A number of stars from the ITV soap attended Martyn’s funeral, where his coffin was adorned with pictures of Corrie characters.
As well as the show, members of the Corrie cast have also paid tribute to those who sadly had their lives taken in the attack.

Peter Ash, who plays Paul on the ITV soap, tweeted a picture of Paul’s outfit today with the caption “Really feeling Paul’s costumer today #manchesterremembers”.

Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy Mayhew, tweeted a picture of the twenty-two victims, along with a picture of twenty two bees with the names and ages of those who were killed.
He tweeted: “Hug those you love a little tighter today in memory of those we lost. #ManchesterRemembers #ManchesterArena”.
