There’s trouble heading for Coronation Street next week when baby Bertie’s special day descends into chaos and ends in a food fight.
After the rough year that Sinead Tinker and Daniel Osbourne have been through, you could forgive them for wanting something nice to celebrate together.

But this is Weatherfield, and nothing is drama-free. Not even a baby’s christening day!
As the christening arrives, Ken Barlow is in a bad mood because he has received a letter from the council charging him for dog fouling.
But as the family celebration gets underway, it soon becomes clear that Beth was behind Ken being reported and she is delighted that he’s been charged.
As the two families bicker, Sinead begs them for some calm, not wanting anything to ruin her little boy’s big day.
But Sinead’s words of warning fall of deaf ears, because as the fighting continues it doesn’t take long for an all out food fight to get underway and the whole event descends into to total chaos.
As the Tinkers and Barlow’s continue to fight over dog poo, Kirk comes up with the genius plan to start signing a song in the hope that it will get everyone to stop fighting. But will it do the trick?

Kirk clearly enjoys his moment in the limelight, because the following day he is full of confidence and wonders to Beth if he should enter for the next series of X Factor.
Beth is forced to let Kirk down gently, explaining that there would be too much competition, and soon Kirk is considering playing at the St George’s Day celebrations at the pub instead.
As Kirk is thrilled to have his first gig, Beth makes sure that he is going to make some money from his art and demands that he gets paid.
Could this be the start of a whole new career for Kirk?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
