Next week’s Coronation Street sees Sinead Tinker and Daniel Osbourne terrified as Sinead’s appointment to find out if her cancer treatment has worked or not arrives.
The pair were thrilled when Sinead completed her treatment for cervical cancer earlier this year, but she is still under the care of a consultant at the hospital and needs another MRI scan to see if her gruelling chemotherapy has worked.
Daniel and Sinead have been throwing themselves into life as new parents since Sinead’s treatment came to an end, and have been loving every moment of being mum and dad to little Bertie.

But the whole time they’e enjoying life there has always been a niggle in the back of their minds, knowing that the cancer could come back at any time.
With these dark thoughts troubling them, the pair are scared ahead of the appointment next week, but both try and put on a brave face.
As they sit in the hospital waiting room, Sinead is honest with Daniel and tells him that there is still a chance she could die, and it’s something they’re just going to have to try and get their heads around.
Daniel isn’t exactly comforted by Sinead’s words and he’s quietly terrified as she heads in for her scan.
The pair don’t have to wait long for Sinead’s results and the consultant sits them down as they arrive for their appointment.
But thankfully for everyone, it is good news and the consultant reveals that her tumour has shrunk and there is no evidence that it has spread.
The pair are on cloud nine as they’re told the good news, but despite being told that she is getting better, Sinead confides in Daniel that she is still scared her cancer might come back at any time.
Determined to take her mind off of things, Daniel comes up with the plan to whisk her away on a family holiday to the Scottish Borders.
But when Sinead tells Daniel that her male grooming business is taking off, he suggests they postpone their break until she has got the time to spare from work.

Sinead is thrilled and can’t wait to get married again… could this be the start of a long and happy life together for the pair? Or is there more bad news lurking around the corner?
