Desperate Henry Newton will try and swindle new employers Johnny and Jenny Connor to save his own skin in Coronation Street next week.
The down on his luck posh boy sees a chance to instantly solve his money worries – but could the risky scam put his rocky relationship in jeopardy with Gemma Winter yet again?
Having been cut off by his parents for picking a life with Gemma rather than his ex-fiancée Cressida, the feckless trust funder continues to lurch from one crisis to another with his half-truths causing him nothing but grief.
But he takes his dishonesty to a new level after heavies target him to make up for jilting Cressida – and it looks as if Johnny and Jenny could be the ones to be hit in the pocket.

Henry and Gemma’s plan to take over the Rovers Return floundered once he was blocked from receiving any more of the family fortune.
However, the Connors – who swooped in to take over the pub – have tried to smooth matters over a little by offering Henry and Gemma work behind the bar.
Not long after starting, though, viewers will see Henry threatened by thugs employed by his ex looking to recoup £20,000 for the wedding that never happened.
And while changing a barrel by himself in the cellar, Henry is struck by shady inspiration.

And once he emerges following a mysterious scream, Gemma’s man has a broken arm and a scheme to sue his new bosses for compensation.
Talk about ungrateful!
Actor George Banks, who plays Henry, explained to Digital Spy: “I think Henry just sees an opportunity to get himself out of a big hole. It’s quite dark but it’s desperation.
“There have been opportunities leading up to this to get his hands on the money that he’s seen and not taken.
“But at this point, all he’s thinking is that he needs this money now no matter what and it’s the last resort.
“There are no other options on the table and in his eyes, if he doesn’t come up with the money, he’s a dead man.”
But will Henry’s dodgy behaviour be worth the risk?
* Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
