While Coronation Street’s Gemma Winter might hope her mum’s arrival on the cobbles will provide her the support she needs, it looks like she’s quite wrong!
According to a report in The Sun, Bernie is going to go after her daughter’s fella – Chesney Brown!
Okay, so Gem and Ches aren’t together anymore, but they’re living together and have vowed to raise their quadruplets together – so the chances that they might rekindle their romance are strong.

A Corrie source told the publication: “Bernie’s arrival is going to come with a bang when she lands on the cobbles.
“With Gemma pregnant Bernie wants to be there for her daughter but her flirtatious nature soon causes problems.
“When Bernie starts to treat Ches as one of the family, she’s a bit too tactile and Gemma decides her mum is after her boyfriend.”
The insider added: “Worse still, Chesney becomes convinced of it too and he begins to behave strangely trying to fend off his mother-in-law.”
Sounds like Ches is going to be in a tricky situation!
Earlier this month Corrie revealed the first look at Gemma’s mum.
Casualty star Jane Hazlegrove was pictured on set for the first time posing with her new on-screen daughter and Chesney.
Wearing a tie-dye shirt, Bernie is set for a sensational reunion Gemma as well as Gemma’s twin Paul, who Bernie hasn’t seen in years since splitting up the family and sending him to live with his dad.
She’s an old raver who still sees herself as a free spirit, never one to be tied down by a man or responsibilities, especially if it means hard work.
Earlier this year, she failed to pick Gemma up when the pregnant barmaid planned to leave the street and now it has been confirmed she will appear on screen from next month.
While Gemma is pleased to have her mum around, Paul is more suspicious of her motives.
But Bernie is there to support her daughter through her pregnancy and prove she can be a good mum for once.

Jane, who is best known for her role as paramedic Dixie in BBC’s Casualty, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Coronation Street.
“It’s where I started my apprenticeship as a very young actor. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
Jane was last seen in Weatherfield 1985, when she played Sue Clayton, who was the daughter of Harry and Connie Clayton at No. 11.
A Coronation Street spokesperson said: “Like mother, like daughter.
“We are very pleased that the fantastic Jane Hazlegrove has agreed to join the cast as the irrepressible and impossible Gemma’s even more irrepressible and impossible mother.
“Fur will fly!”
