In tonight’s visit to Coronation Street (Wednesday 2 January), Audrey gets even more horrible news that will rock her to the core.
The hairdresser and salon owner will be left utterly devastated when she discovers the £80,000 that Archie Shuttleworth left her has been stolen from her account.
And the first suspect is obviously her dearly departed partner Lewis – was he scamming her all along?
The trouble begins when Audrey’s grandson Nick takes a call from his financial advisor who has some urgent news for his grieving gran.
And when Audrey speaks to the money expert, she hears some news so shocking that she faints on the spot.
While Gail, David, Nick and Sarah gather around to check she’s okay, Audrey confesses the devastating news that all the money that Archie gave her has been stolen from her account.
Struggling to come to terms with the fact that Lewis is most likely responsible for the theft, Audrey reports the missing money to the police.
The police later show Audrey CCTV footage of a woman drawing out cash… Is this the woman who Lewis met with in secret at the hotel (not knowing he was being followed by a suspicious Gail)?
As Audrey’s world comes crashing down around her, she breaks down in tears on Maxine’s bench.
But was Lewis really the one stealing from under Audrey’s nose? And is he REALLY dead?
