There could be heartache heading for Coronation Street’s Mary Taylor next week when she begins to worry that something sinister has happened to son Jude Appleton.
When Mary panics that she hasn’t heard a word from her son since his abrupt departure last month, she decides to take matters into her own hands and goes to the police.
But could Jude already be dead?
Mary shocks Angie by revealing she is going to tell the police that Jude is missing, something that doesn’t sit well with his estranged wife at all.

Viewers will know that Jude is a compulsive liar and spent his time on the cobbles scamming and lying to everyone he came in contact with.
Angie is convinced this disappearing act is just part of Jude’s latest cry for attention, but having only just found her long-lost son in recent years, Mary’s not willing to take any chances and heads to the police station.
Angie’s fuming when the police arrive at the solicitor’s office and she finds herself being questioned over Jude’s whereabouts.
Deciding enough is enough she reveals everything, including the fact Jude is a con artist who compulsively lies.
Mary is distraught when she realises Angie has told the authorities about Jude’s dark side, convinced that this means the police won’t take his disappearance seriously now they know what sort of man he is.
