A seething Jenny Connor will threaten to take Johnny to the cleaners as the married couple endure a miserable Christmas in Corrie.
The Rovers landlady will tell her husband she’ll see him in the divorce courts in the soap’s upcoming festive episodes.
But it seems they could end up in court for a different reason after actors Sally Ann Matthews and Richard Hawley were recently spied filming scenes at Chester Town Hall.
MailOnline speculates their characters could be heading for an intense courtroom battle in 2019 – but not because she wants rid of her man who cheated on her with Liz McDonald.

Instead, the news outlet guesses Johnny may be on trial for assaulting Jenny after she takes a nasty tumble down the stairs, resulting in a black eye and an injured rib.
Since tracking barmaid Liz and her hubby via a mobile app, Jenny has become increasingly paranoid about the state of Johnny’s relationship with his former flame.
She has also been hitting the bottle hard, with barmaid Gemma Winter noticing just how distressed Jenny is as she puts away the booze.
But Gemma – unaware of Johnny’s secret fling with Liz – comes to believe Jenny is upset because he is abusing her.

And her mistaken theory only gains traction in her mind when a possibly sizzled Jenny has her fall.
There’s no doubt that Jenny is reaching her breaking point in a preview clip that gives a glimpse of some of the ITV soap’s biggest storylines over Christmas.
As Roy Cropper pays a compliment to Liz on Christmas Day about her looking festive in the back room of the pub, Jenny is shown to be so distraught by a casual comment from Johnny that her eye twitches.
“Doesn’t she just?” he agrees with Roy as Carla Connor, Rita Tanner and Mary Taylor exchange seasonal greetings.
But it is clear Jenny has no time for Johnny’s innocent if misguided remark as they are later shown rowing.
“Your affair has poisoned me,” she spits at her gobsmacked husband, drink in hand.
She then adds, with a flourish and wobbly voice: “See you in the divorce courts.”
However, will Johnny have to face criminal charges first?
– Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
