Coronation Street drama: Nick and David arrested over Audrey’s missing money

Is this the end for the pair?

It looks like Nick Tilsley’s relationship with Leanne Battersby could be coming to an end in next week’s Coronation Street after she discovers the truth about Audrey Roberts’ missing cash. Will she stand by her man?

Coronation Street’s big 9pm week this week is set to air some of the year’s most dramatic episodes, and one storyline that will take centre stage is David confessing to Audrey about what really happened to her missing money.

As the news sinks in that her grandsons have betrayed her, Audrey will be torn over whether to go to the police and turn David and Nick in for their crimes… but whether she does or not is by-the-by when the police arrive to arrest the brothers next week.

As David tells Shona and Gail how much he regrets what he and Nick did, Gail tells her son that he needs to give the family some space to get their heads around what has happened.

But as David tries to build bridges, Nick is still putting on the pressure for David to take the blame for the missing money in return for him signing over his half of the business.

As David considers Nick’s offer, the siblings are arrested on suspicion of theft.

At the station the police tell David that Nick has pointed the finger of suspicion at him… and David is fuming.

Having already secretly signed the deeds for the barbers, meaning legally he now owns the whole business, David tells the police the truth.

As he reveals that Nick was the one who stole Audrey’s money, he double crosses his brother. But how will Nick react when he finds out he has been screwed over?

When Gail finds her sons at each other’s throats, she begs them to make amends, but it seems like her words are falling on deaf ears as the men blame each other for the sorry mess they have found themselves in.

Gail begs her mum to drop the charges against Nick and David… but will she agree?

Meanwhile, David is still desperate to make things up to his gran and shocks everyone when he hands her some legal papers, which turn out to be the deeds to the barbers.

David has signed the whole business over to Audrey as a way of apologising for being part of her money going missing, leaving his gran shocked and thrilled.

But as Audrey offers David a job at the barbers, the same can’t be said for Nick.

As he admits that he stole the cash with the help of Natalie, Leanne is stunned.

Nick also confesses that David then blackmailed him into spending the money on the barbers, and judging by Leanne’s horrified face, Nick assumes that things are over between them and offers to leave.

But will Leanne throw him out? Or is this something the pair of them can work through together?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
