It looks like the truth about Robert Preston’s double life could be exposed when someone catches him with Vicky Jefferies in next week’s Coronation Street.
Soap fans have watched in horror over the last few weeks as Bistro owner Robert fights to stop his two worlds colliding… but next week his lies could come crashing down around him when Steve McDonald – of all people – spots him with Vicky.
Ever since he returned to the cobbles after the factory roof collapse, it was clear that Robert was keeping a huge secret.

But it wasn’t the fact he was the factory roof saboteur that he was hiding… he was actually lying about the fact he’d been in a relationship with the mum of teenage tearaway, Tyler Jefferies.
But while Robert is now engaged to former flame Michelle Connor, that hasn’t stopped him standing by Vicky’s side now that he knows she is pregnant with his baby.
But while he has done a good job hiding the fact he is going to be a dad from his fiancee, things like this don’t stay hidden for long in soapland.
And next week’s Coronation Street hints that it could be Robert’s former love-rival Steve McDonald who finds out the truth about his double life.
The drama starts when Steve and Tim continue with their mission to make money by dressing up Sally’s horse as a unicorn for kids’ parties.
The pair are just finishing up another successful party when they’re shocked to bump in to Robert and Vicky together in a pub garden.
Steve is intrigued to see Robert in the pub with Vicky, not realising the pair were even friends.
But, of course, Robert has got an excuse for why they’re there, and Steve’s lets the subject drop… for now.
But later in the week, Steve lets slip to Tracy what he saw, and it seems Robert’s lies could be starting to unravel.

Every Coronation Street fan knows that once Tracy Barlow has got wind of something it is unlikely to stay hidden for long.
But will Tracy be the one to break the news to Michelle about Robert’s double life or will his secret remain safe for now?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
