Poor Seb Franklin’s world is about to be turned upside down when his week turns into a living nightmare.
After standing in to protect Sarah Platt from Adam Barlow when he thought they were having a fight, Seb is now sporting a black eye. Not really the look you want to be going for when turning up at a court hearing to adopt your twin siblings.
Already on a downer about the hearing because he has been demoted to part-time by boss Gary Windass, Sarah tries to make amends for his predicament by suggesting Adam represents Seb in court for free as a way for making up for punching him.

Seb is taken aback when Adam not only apologises for hitting him, but also offers to be his legal representation in court, and Seb couldn’t be happier with how things have worked out.
But the smile on his face doesn’t last long when Abi and Eileen call at the builder’s yard to try and talk Seb out of his adoption battle, only for a full-blown argument to erupt.
The only problem is, no one has seen Gary arrive with a potential customer, and with the fighting going on, they soon scarper and take their business elsewhere.
Despite Seb’s apologies, Gary sacks him on the spot. But desperate to gain custody of his siblings, Seb has no other choice but to issue Sarah with an ultimatum. What does he want from her?
As the day of the court hearing arrives, Seb lies in court that he still has his full time job, despite his run in with Gary earlier in the week.
But Abi struggles to listen to his lies in court and tells the judge that while it breaks her heart to do so, she is suggesting that her kids stay with their foster family because Seb is lying about his employment status.
Feeling utterly betrayed by everyone around him, Seb hits rock bottom and turns on Gary for sacking him when he needed his job the most.

Determined to get revenge, Seb lashes out, telling Gary that Sarah spent the evening at Adam’s flat.
But what will Gary say when he discovers what his girlfriend has been up to?
