Next week’s Coronation Street sees Sinead Tinker and Daniel Osbourne finally allowing themselves to look to the future as Sinead completes her treatment for cervical cancer.
The pair have been through the mill recently, with Sinead finding out that she had cancer while pregnant with their son, Bertie.
But while Sinead was worried that having treatment for the cancer would harm her unborn baby, she secretly stopped having chemotherapy, meaning that the cancer spread.

Thankfully Daniel made her see sense and she agreed to have the treatment she so desperately needed, but before that could happen doctors revealed they would need to deliver their baby, even though he would be premature.
The pair went through the agonising wait of seeing if being born early would harm their baby… but thankfully Bertie was strong enough to come home recently, leaving the pair thrilled.
And the good news continues next week when Sinead has her final round of treatment for her cancer.
She’s a bag of nerves as she prepares to go into hospital over night for what will hopefully be the last time.
But Daniel is quick to reassure his wife and tells her that he and Bertie will be waiting for her when she gets home the following day.
Sinead confesses to Daniel that she hopes this is the last of her treatment because she can’t face going through having chemotherapy again… but hopefully things are looking up for the pair at last.
An emotional Daniel watches on with pride as Sinead rings the bell in the hospital, signalling that she has completed her treatment – marking a major milestone for the couple.

Putting her cancer worries to the back of her mind for the first time in months, Sinead allows herself to look forward with her life and when Daniel suggests they hold a naming ceremony for Bertie she loves the idea.
But while Daniel isn’t interested in the religious side of a christening and wants a humanist service, Sinead breaks the news that her family would want something more traditional.
Is agreeing on a special day for their son going to be the next hurdle the pair have to face?
