The tweet read: “On next week’s unmissable Coronation Street!!
“Sinead says a final farewell to her loved ones, Daniel seeks comfort and David finds himself caught up in a prison riot alongside rapist Josh… #Corrie.”
As fires are started and windows are being smashed, David looks like he’s caught up in the middle of it all.
His fiancée Shona calls him and she looks shocked as he tells her “things just went too far.”
Did David start the riot? Is Josh involved? What exactly has gone too far.
It was recently confirmed that actor Ryan Clayton would be returning to Coronation Street as rapist Josh.
Viewers will remember Ryan first appeared back in January 2018 as a mechanic going for the position at Webster’s Autocentre
Josh and David became close friends but whilst on a night out, Josh spiked David’s drink and raped him.
He later tried to convince him they had a consensual one-night-stand but David, who is in a relationship with Shona Ramsey knew it wasn’t.

Eventually David told vicar Billy Mayhew about what Josh had done to him.
When the pair managed to track down Josh, they found he planned to meet another man and Billy warned him what Josh was capable of.
This led the man to beat up Josh and left him blind.

The hairdresser eventually got some form of closure when he bundled Josh into his car, convincing him he was taking him to the police station, when he wasn’t.
Seeing Josh in fear, David got closure and left him alone in an alleyway.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
