Next week’s Coronation Street spoilers show Roy in turmoil as he packs up his life and leaves Weatherfield for good.
Despite pleas from his loved ones, Roy can no longer cope with the consequences of his decision to lie to the police.
He blames himself for Natasha’s tragic death and her son Sam’s terrible grief.
Roy believes that if he had told the truth about Abi’s plan to shoot Corey, the tragedy could have been avoided.
So, he decides to leave his niece Nina and everyone else behind to start a new life in South America.

Coronation Street spoilers: Roy defends Abi
Things come to a head when Roy lies to protect Abi once again.
The police are trying to source the owner of the gun that shot Natasha, and Roy has the answers.
But although he asks Abi to be honest, he won’t betray her confidence himself.

However, he tells Nina that he holds himself responsible for what happened and can’t live with it.
Nina is desperately worried about her uncle as he tells her that he can no longer burden her with his pain and guilt.
She’s convinced this means Roy plans to harm himself and take his own life, but she’s quite wrong.
Instead, he’s planning to get out of her life for good.
Is Roy leaving Coronation Street?
There’s a massive shock for Nina when Roy reveals he’s signed his entire estate over to her.
She can’t believe it when he explains that he’s moving to South America to work as a chef.
Nina tries to stop him by getting Roy’s loved ones to record messages telling him how much he means to them.

But the combined efforts of Carla, Cathy, Fiz, Brian, Chesney and Mary aren’t enough to put an end to Roy’s plans.
Instead, he continues to make his preparations as Carla arrives to confront him.
She’s convinced that something terrible has happened and begs Roy to be honest so she can help him.
But instead of taking her into his confidence, Roy lies and sends Carla packing.
As he gets ready to depart, Nina makes one last attempt to get him to stick around.
Will Roy make good on his promise and never darken the Street again?
